Admissions
Thank you for your interest in the Lycée Français de San Francisco (LFSF), the only exclusively French immersion program in the Bay Area, offering a co-educational independent Preschool-Grade 12 program.
LFSF offers a unique opportunity for young children to learn about and share cultural and linguistic perspectives; to grow as curious, motivated learners; to become fluent French speakers and scholars; to thrive as tomorrow’s global citizens.
We have three campuses in the Bay Area located in San Francisco and in Marin:
- Our new Lower School campus in Sausalito is open and welcomes students in Preschool – Grade 5.
- Our San Francisco Lower School campus is located on Ashbury Street and welcomes students in Preschool – Grade 5.
- Our San Francisco Upper School campus is located on Ortega Street and welcomes students in Grades 6 – 12.

International Students
Lycée Français de San Francisco challenges students by providing them with new and diverse perspectives within a global context. We believe that studying abroad goes hand in hand with immersion education and therefore encourage international students to apply to our high school.
We are delighted to welcome international students to our school. We are available to speak with you about the transition from abroad, and can schedule interviews via Skype later in the process. We recognize that the paperwork necessary to live and study in another country can be daunting—please do not hesitate to contact us for advice and guidance: admissions@lelycee.org
Please note that we are not a boarding school. International students who come without their families are responsible for finding their own host families.
Applications for the 2017–2018 academic year should be submitted after April 30, 2016.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Lycée Français de San Francisco admits students of any race, color, social status, religion, ability and national or ethnic origin, and accords to them all the privileges, programs and activities made available at the school. Our school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, social status, religion, ability, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, marital status, sex or age in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, financial assistance and other school administered programs.
