CAMPS
LFSF operates on an academic calendar that is split into periods with breaks in Fall, Winter, February and Spring, when school is not in session. To offer a continual education experience and reinforce our spirit of community, we offer camps during these breaks (apart from Winter break).
The week-long camps are themed-based, giving students the opportunity to delve into something different. Camp themes include French cultural immersion, sports, visual and performing arts and science. Really far from a simple daycare, the activities are unusual while staying fun and pedagogical. Each week one or several field trips are offered where the children are always involved and players. Surfing on Pacfica beach? Building a pool for alive fishes? Making a short movies? Dancing afro Brazilian movements? Playing the Pétanque? Story-telling in a museum?
Location varies on our three campuses to offer new exciting environments.
SPORTS & CULTURAL TRIPS
The Extracurricular Activities program has as a purpose to promote physical activity during off-school hours but also explore new environnements and new cultures:
- Innovative sports camps that offer true challenges in a warm and friendly environment ( eg.Tahoe’s ski trip)
- A partnership with UNSS (Union Nationale du Sport Scolaire) in France and access to the French championships.
- Sportive and cultural foreign field trips, to meet, compete and interact with other Lycees from around the world!
Last year field trip abroad:
UNSS French Judo Championship in Normandy (France), Youth International Games in Autrans (France) an Feminine Soccer World cup in Canada.
